COVID-19
My COVID-19 Vaccination Was Rough but Worth It
MINOT, N.D. — Last week, I made an appointment to get the Moderna vaccine’s first shot for COVID-19.
I didn’t expect my mention of the appointment on social media to set off a furor, but it did.
I got hundreds of often angry and accusatory comments.
Why was I throwing my appointment in people’s faces? Why did I want to be a “lab rat” for the pharmaceutical industry? Why was I even getting vaccinated if I already had a bout with COVID-19? Some even claimed I was jumping to the head of the vaccine line.
I wanted to mention my vaccine appointment because I think most people, those without a good medical reason not to, should get vaccinated (and not just for COVID-19).
