Minot police participate in elementary school vehicle fair, showcase specialty units and equipment
Minot, N.D. – The Minot Police Department took part in Sunnyside Elementary School’s vehicle fair, giving students a close-up look at a variety of public safety and emergency response vehicles from across the community.
According to the department, officers displayed several specialized units, including a bomb squad vehicle, a BearCat armored vehicle, a mobile command unit, and a patrol car featuring Comfort K9 Freya.
The Minot Fire Department also participated, bringing Engine 2 to the event.
Officials said the event gave students an opportunity to explore emergency vehicles and ask questions about how each unit is used in public safety operations.
Officers engaged with attendees throughout the morning, explaining equipment functions and daily responsibilities.
The department described the event as a positive outreach opportunity aimed at building community connections and helping students learn more about local first responders.
