Minot Fire Department receives upgraded fire attack equipment through grant funding
Minot, ND — The Minot Fire Department has received new fire attack hose and smooth bore nozzles through grant funding aimed at improving emergency response capabilities, according to officials.
The department said the equipment upgrade was made possible through support from the Aggie Foundation and the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which provided funding to assist in modernizing apparatus equipment.
Officials said the new hoses will allow for higher water flow rates during fire suppression operations, improving the department’s ability to achieve faster fire knockdown while also enhancing firefighter safety and overall service to the community.
The upgrades will be installed on multiple engines and trucks within the department’s fleet.
Fire officials expressed appreciation for the organizations’ support, noting that the funding helps strengthen public safety resources and operational effectiveness during emergency responses.
