Sex offender released in Fargo has past arrest for working as Easter Bunny at Minot mall
MINOT, N.D. – The Fargo Police Department is notifying the public about a high-risk sex offender who has moved to the city after being released from jail.
Daniel Sanderson, 28, is living at 1336 Eighth Ave. N. in Fargo. He was convicted in 2015 for indecent exposure after exposing himself to a 10-year-old girl.
In 2016, he was arrested for violating the terms of his probation after he was caught playing the Easter Bunny at a Minot mall, the Minot Daily News reported.
The state moved to revoke Sanderson’s probation after he allegedly searched for pornography on two cell phones by using “graphic and disturbing” terminology and had children’s underwear found in his apartment.
At the time, Sanderson said through his attorney that he didn’t remember making the searches and that he was not responsible for the soiled underwear found in his apartment.
Sanderson reportedly had pictures of himself in the Easter Bunny costume on his phone, according to the Minot Daily News.
Sanderson is a lifetime registrant. Anyone with questions or concerns can contact police Lt. Bill Ahlfedt at 701-241-1414.
